Family bathrooms
Combination of bath with overhead shower, basin and WC. We recommend a thermostatic shower mixer to prevent scalds, and a bath screen rather than a curtain for cleaner waterproofing.
Bathrooms fail when they leak. We waterproof first, tile second, and stand behind the result for a decade. One team handles plumbing, tiling, electrics and finish — no excuses, no sub-contractor blame.

Bathrooms have one job: contain water. When they fail it's almost always because the waterproofing was rushed before tiling. We tank every wet area properly — using paint-on or sheet membrane systems — before a single tile is fixed.
We design and install full family bathrooms, en-suites, downstairs WCs and tanked wet rooms. The work covers strip-out, soil and waste reroutes, electrics (Part P), plastering, tanking, tiling, sanitaryware and decoration.
Owners with a 15+ year-old bathroom, anyone doing a loft conversion or extension, landlords upgrading rentals, and homeowners wanting a wet room for accessibility.
When tiles are failing, grout is staining, the suite is dated, or there are signs of leaks (lifting flooring, ceiling stains below).
Bathrooms combine plumbing, electrics, waterproofing and tiling — all of which need to coordinate perfectly. Get one wrong and the whole room fails.
Almost every leaking bathroom we strip out shows the same handful of issues.
Tiling straight onto plasterboard means the wall absorbs water on day one of use. Within 18 months the substrate is rotten.
Wet room floors that slope the wrong way — or don't slope at all — cause water to pool against the door. Result: rotten skirting downstairs.
Drum traps and missing AAVs cause the WC to gurgle and the basin to lose its water seal — leading to drain smells in the room.
Sockets and switches outside the IP-rated zones for bathrooms are a Part P fail — and a real shock risk.
Causes ugly cuts around pedestals and bath skirts. We always set out tiles around the final fittings.
We measure up, plan the layout, pick the tile lines and confirm sanitaryware. Mood board if helpful.

Different rooms call for different specifications. Here's how we approach each scenario.

Compact, often slot into a bedroom corner. We use frameless 1200×800 enclosures, slimline trays and wall-hung WCs to maximise floor space.
Fully tanked floors with a tiled gradient to a linear or square gully. Trickier to get right — needs proper tanking, an upstand at the doorway, and an electric heated floor.
Compact but often abused — guests, kids, muddy boots. We spec robust porcelain tiles, a wall-hung WC for floor cleaning, and a Saniflo if no soil stack runs nearby.
Large-format porcelain (600×600+) on floors for fewer grout lines, smaller mosaic on shower floors for grip, metro and herringbone for walls. We dry-lay every layout.
Electric mat under tiles is now standard in our installs — cheap to run because it's only on for short periods, and removes the cold-floor problem on porcelain.
We fit Roca, Villeroy & Boch, Ideal Standard, Lefroy Brooks, Vado, Hansgrohe, Mira, Aqualisa. Brand-agnostic — tell us the budget and we'll spec to suit.
All new bathrooms get a humidistat-controlled extract fan ducted directly outside (never into the loft). Mandatory under Part F.
